Lucky us, Valentine’s Day falls on a Friday this year so we have the whole weekend to soak it up. Here are some fun ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day on a budget…..or even if you’re not:
GO ROLLER SKATING
Go roller skating – then check out a new restaurant for an apres-skating snack.
CHECK OUT A MUSEUM OR ART GALLERY
Check out a museum or art gallery you’ve never been to before.
PLAY A BOARD GAME
Play board or card games, followed by a fondue dinner at home.
GO FOR A WALK
Venture out on a nearby hike or walk. Better yet, make sure it’s one you’ve never done before by using the All Trails app.
DIY WINE TASTING
Plan a DIY at-home wine-tasting event. If you’re going sober, do non-alcoholic tastings. (There are plenty to choose from these days.)
MAKE PIZZA TOGETHER
Make pizzas together with weird or exotic ingredients (figs and feta cheese, anyone?). Shape the pizza like a heart. If you have an outdoor pizza oven, now is the perfect time to use it.
CREATE A VISION BOARD
Do a five-year Vision Board. Then take a couples photo. Plan to do this again next year so you can track your progress.
DISCOVER A NEW PLACE
Visit a nearby town you’ve never been to. Go window shopping, then have lunch.
